I was told about this amazing ballroom under a lake the other night and really did not believe it. I didn’t think such a thing would be possible let alone real and more than a 100 years old. Witley Park in Surrey is home to a 19th-century house and estate that was developed in 1890 by J. Whitaker Wright, a wealthy gent who made his millions in the mining industry. He built this extravagant ballroom under an artificial lake and it still stands today. Despite being unused a few lucky people have been able to get down there and document there visit on flickr… it’s well worth a gander.
