Gwenola Carrere [Commission]
THERAPY TODAY — June 2010

I’ve decided to start listing past Therapy Today Commissions. I’m very lucky to be able to commission a different illustrator each issue. The subject matters are usually very sensitive and quite complex so it’s a very challenging brief for the illustrators. The responses are all very different but equally beautiful.

These are features from the June 2010 issue. The illustrator was the lovely Gwenola Carrere — http://gwenola.ultra-book.org/

Mathilde Aubier

I really like the work of french illustrator Mathilde Aubier, for whatever reason her illustrations remind me of the film Science of Sleep… I’m not entirely sure why but I know that this is a good thing. She is represented by Colagene and has an online website at http://www.mathildeaubier.com/

Lotta Nieminen

I first came across Lotta Nieminen’s work in Monocle, which then intrigued me to seek out some more of her work. There is a great richness and warmth to her work. She produces some very thoughtful illustrations. She is represented by Agent Pekka and has her own portfolio website at http://www.lottanieminen.com/

Matthew Lack

These pieces belong to my good friend Matt. He is probably the most talented and imaginative yorkshire man I’ve ever met, and he makes a cracking brew. I don’t think I could ever tire of his sketchbooks or natter. You can have a look at a few more of his bits and pieces online at http://www.lack24.co.uk/
